QwesterineTM is designed to specifically address some of the restrictions in currently used methods. It’s specific design features will achieve effective washing over a wide ambient temperature range whilst including anti-icing properties and excellent environmental properties.
Routinely, using QwesterineTM will maintain blade cleanliness. QwesterineTM is an environmentally friendly and novel approach to jet engine washing in all types of conditions.
QwesterineTM is a liquid that can be used to clean ice, dirt or other contaminants on turbine engine surfaces. It is biodegradable and therefore easily disposed of and is non-toxic with a mild pleasant odour reducing cabin air objections.
QwesterineTM is an effective wash product with added anti-icing properties. This is a specific design feature and it will remain fluid to temperatures of around -22 °C (-8 °F) in order to enable washing at temperatures below 5 °C (41 °F). (The low temperature operability recognises current concerns about any residual wash product “sticking” to compressor/fan blades.)
QwesterineTM eliminates the need to dry off water that may contaminate engine oil or appear as trace water on internal engine surfaces where it has the potential to freeze.
QwesterineTM provides corrosion resistance reducing the need in current practices when a separate corrosion inhibitor treatment is required post washing.
